Rapidly Growing Unified Office Inc. Receives Investments from LaunchCapital and Rick Burnes, Co-founder and Partner Emeritus at Charles River Ventures

Portsmouth, NH – August 18, 2014 – Unified Office, Inc., a rapidly growing managed services provider offering private cloud-based virtual office services to small and medium businesses (SMBs), announced today that it has received investments from two prominent Boston-area venture capitalists, Bill McCullen, Chief Investment Officer at LaunchCapital, and Rick Burnes, Co-founder and Partner Emeritus of Charles River Ventures (CRV), to help fuel the company’s rapid growth as it deploys its service throughout the US.

“I am very excited to be working with Unified Office,” said Rick Burnes, Partner Emeritus at Charles River Ventures. “We are in the early innings of a very large multi-year replacement cycle of legacy VoIP and PBX platforms and Unified Office is on its way to becoming the dominant player in this space. Unified Office’s managed service platform is a major step forward in communications technology. It provides a level of service quality and customization that is missing in the marketplace today.”

“We were drawn to Unified Office by the track record of success and industry experience of its principals,” said Bill McCullen, Chief Investment Officer of LaunchCapital’s Boston Office. “Their simple-to-use, yet elegant and evolutionary feature-rich offering sets Unified Office apart and fills a void in the marketplace for the SMB customer.”

“We are honored to have Rick Burnes and LaunchCapital onboard as our most recent investors,” said Ray Pasquale, CEO & Founder of Unified Office. “Their successes here in New England and across the country speak for themselves. They, along with other key investors and our board of directors together comprise a Who’s Who of the high tech industry on the East Coast. We are entering a significant growth phase for our services and view Rick and Bill’s involvement as a strong testament to the bright future of our company.”
